Buckets of pot lead to bust, authorities say

SEARCY, AR (KAIT) - A Missouri man is facing felony charges after authorities found 32 pounds of pot stuffed in buckets during a traffic stop, authorities said Wednesday.

According to a media release from the Central Arkansas Drug Task Force Facebook page, Marvin Brooks of O’Fallon, MO, was arrested Feb. 4 after drug task force officers pulled over a vehicle on Highway 67/167 at the 42-mile marker.

The release noted that Officer Josh Middleton found the drugs.

“During the course of the traffic stop, Officer Middleton located four buckets containing suspected marijuana found to have a gross weight of approximately 32 pounds,” the release noted.

Brooks was arrested and taken to the White County jail, where he was awaiting a first appearance.
