RANDOLPH COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - The Arkansas Department of Transportation confirmed early Thursday morning that crews closed a highway in Randolph County.

ARDOT said they had to close all lanes of Highway 166 near the Fourche River.

That’s just northeast of Pocahontas.

They said water over the road made it not passable and they were forced to close it.

In Lawrence County, the National Weather Service reports minor flooding at the Black River in Black Rock.

Around 2:30 a.m. Thursday, the river stood at 14.6 feet.

That means the farm ground along the east bank has begun to flood.

The Region 8 Stormteam said we expect more rain Thursday and that could make flooding issues worse.
