Authorities want to question Davis in connection with the Feb. 4 crash on Missouri Highway 53, nearly three miles south of Poplar Bluff.

“The preliminary investigation and evidence at the scene indicates a pedestrian was walking on the southbound shoulder and was struck by a northbound, white 1999 Oldsmobile Alero,” authorities said in the news release. “Video surveillance from a local business close to the crash scene is being reviewed and a person of interest has been identified as Zach L. Davis.”

Wendy L. Dumas of Poplar Bluff was killed in the crash, Missouri officials said earlier this week.

Anyone with information on Davis’ whereabouts or about the incident can call the Missouri State Highway Patrol at 573-840-9500 or their local law enforcement agency.
