JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - A popular Super Bowl event in Jonesboro hit a record this year.
According to a Facebook post by the St. Jude S’travaganza, the event raised $547,000 that will be able to be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis.
The post adds that it is by far the most that the event has ever raised for the hospital.
The family who hosted the event, the Cathcarts, are stepping down after this year’s event.
Over 1,000 people attended the event on Feb. 3, which featured 56 televisions to watch the game between the New England Patriots and the Los Angeles Rams, along with 600 silent auction items.
