JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - A Craighead County man faces a terroristic threatening charge after he reportedly threatened a business owner earlier this month.
Michael Dority of Jonesboro was arrested Feb. 20 on suspicion of 1st degree terroristic threatening in connection with the Feb. 11 incident.
According to a probable cause affidavit, police say Dority went to a local car dealership demanding that he receive money back from a vehicle that had been bought and repossessed in 2017.
“After being told there was nothing that could be done about the money or anything, Michael, who was already angry, continued to raise his voice and stated that he would bring a gun and blow the owner’s brains out,” police said in the affidavit. “Again, they attempted to calm him down in which it did not happen and he threatened that he would send people up there.”
Dority then fled the scene before police arrived.
A $50,000 bond was set for Dority, who will appear in court March 22.
