HARRISBURG, AR (KAIT) - A Poinsett County man faces one count of internet stalking of a child after investigators say he sent sexually explicit photos and videos to what he thought was a 15-year-old girl.
Dustin Spencer Clowers, 35, of Harrisburg was one of three people arrested since Sunday in the First Judicial District Drug Task Force’s continuing “Operation Kandy Krush” to crack down on suspected child predators.
He’s accused of sending “sexually graphic photos of his genitals” and videos of himself performing sex acts to a 15-year-old girl.
On Tuesday, April 16, Wynne police and Poinsett County sheriff’s deputies assisted a DTF special agent in arresting Clowers at a mobile home in Harrisburg.
According to a news release from the DTF, Clowers was living in the home without the owner’s knowledge or permission.
He is being held in the Poinsett County Detention Center on a charge of internet stalking of a child. More charges are expected.
In addition to Clowers, DTF agents also arrested Garland “TuTu” Williams, 36, and Jerry “JR” Reyes, 34, both of Forrest City on the same charge of internet stalking after investigators say they too sent sexually explicit photos to what they believed was an underage girl.
Investigators arrested Williams on Sunday on a bond of $100,000. He bonded out of the St. Francis County Detention Center later that evening.
Reyes remains in jail awaiting his first court appearance on Wednesday.
These latest arrests, according to the DTF, bring to 18 the total number of predators arrested since “Operation Kandy Krush” began.
