DEXTER, MO (KAIT) - The police in one Missouri town are asking people to monitor their bank accounts and credit card statements of possible fraudulent charges about a skimming device being placed on an ATM machine.
According to a post on the Dexter Police Department Facebook page, officers got a call from a local bank April 18 about the situation.
Police believe someone placed the skimming device on the ATM and removed it April 3.
The bank has contacted its customers about the situation, the post noted.
However, police were able to get a surveillance video of a person at the ATM machine.
