JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - The construction work at a key intersection in Jonesboro will have state highway crews closing the roads temporarily over the next few weeks.
According to a media release from ArDOT, construction at the intersection of Highway 63B (Nettleton Avenue) and Clark Street in Jonesboro will lead to the closure, starting at 8 a.m., April 22.
Crews will be working to reconstruct the intersection and detours will be in the area to direct traffic.
The detours include Willow Road, Manila Street, Clark Street and Thorn Street, officials said.
The work is expected to be done by mid-May.
The reconstruction will be done as part of a $35 million project to build an overpass over Highway 18 at the Burlington Northern Santa Fe railroad crossing.
The overall project is expected to be done by early 2022.
