LAKE CITY, AR (KAIT) - A restaurant that closed their doors on Main Street in Jonesboro is looking to relocate to Lake City.

During Monday night’s city council meeting, John and Glenn Miller presented to the council plans of putting N’Awlins, Arkansas in Lake City.

Council minutes state that Miller has a permit with the Arkansas Alcoholic Beverage Control board and asked the council to approve his request to move it from Jonesboro to Lake City.

He went on to say he would not put a bar in the establishment in Lake City and will close no later than 10 p.m.

After questions from both sides, Mayor Jon Milligan asked to table the request for 30 days to give the council time to reach out to members in the community for their input.

N’Awlins, Arkansas closed their location in Jonesboro in March.
