Sharp County 2-year-old bitten by snake, airlifted to LeBonheur

RAVENDEN, AR (KAIT) - A 2-year-old was flown to LeBonheur Children’s Hospital after being bitten by a snake on Tuesday.

According to Sharp County Sheriff Mark Counts, central dispatch received a call around 3:30 p.m. about a 2-year-old girl being bitten by a snake at a home on Bear Bluff Trail in the Ravenden area.

A Lawrence County ambulance responded and the child was flown by Survival Flight to LeBonheur Children’s Hospital.

Sheriff Counts says it is unknown what kind of snake bit the child.
