Groundbreaking held for new data technology center
JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - A groundbreaking was Tuesday in Jonesboro for Ritter Communications’ $8 million data technology center.
Dozens of people were on hand for the groundbreaking.
When completed it will be one-of-a-kind in Northeast Arkansas, and in the Western Tennessee Region.
20 new jobs could be created with the new center, along with opportunities to attract more businesses to Jonesboro.
“We know that when the Chamber of Commerce goes and interviews businesses or when they bring in business to tour Jonesboro, they ask about fiber optic connectivity which we already provide,” Ritter Communications President Alan Morse said. “And they ask about data center services as well.”
Construction of the new facility is expected to be complete by 2020.
