Ben Lindsey leaves Paragould to take Magnolia boys head coaching job

MAGNOLIA, Ark. (KAIT) - A 5A East coach is heading back to his alma mater.

Magnolia School District announced Monday night that Ben Lindsey would be the Panthers new head basketball coach. The news was also reported by the Magnolia Reporter.

Lindsey spent the last 7 seasons with the Rams. His best year with Paragould was the 2015-2016 campaign. The Rams were 20-6 overall, finished 2nd in the 5A East, and reached the 1st Round of the State Tournament.

Ben takes on the challenge of leading the reigning 4A state champions. The Panthers were 24-5 and won an overtime thriller in Hot Springs.
