STONE COUNTY, Ark. (KAIT) - A convicted sex offender faces 30 counts of child pornography after investigators say they found more than 16,000 sexually explicit images of children and infants on his cell phone.

Stone County sheriff’s deputies arrested 31-year-old Michael Blake Osburn on March 31 on a felony warrant for failing to register as a sex offender and duty to register social media accounts.

During that arrest, deputies seized his cell phone and held it until they could obtain a search warrant.

On May 8, a Stone County sheriff’s investigator and an Arkansas State Police special investigator executed the search warrant on the phone.

According to the probable cause affidavit, the search turned up 16,675 sexually explicit images of children under the age of 14, including infants and toddlers.

After discovering the alleged evidence, the detectives obtained a search warrant for a home on Highway 9 South where Osburn lived with his mother.

Investigators seized marijuana, computers, electronic devices, cell phones, and more digital evidence, the court documents stated.

During a post-Miranda interview at the sheriff’s office, Osburn reportedly admitted downloading the sexually graphic images to his phone.

The investigators claimed Osburn also said he knew it was “illegal and that he shouldn’t have possessed or viewed it.”

On May 10, a judge found probable cause to charge Osburn with 30 counts of possessing child pornography.

Osburn remains in the Stone County Jail on a bond of $500,000 awaiting arraignment.

According to online court records, Osburn pleaded guilty in 2017 to three counts of fourth-degree sexual assault. He received to 72 months of probation.
