JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) -Investigators recently confiscated 2.5 pounds of pot.

According to a probable cause affidavit, on May 10, law enforcement went to the 900-block of Hope Street.

Court documents said as investigators approached, Anthony Thomas, 45, of West Memphis, who is also a parolee, left the front porch, went inside and closed the door on them.

The report further stated after they searched the home, they found a second person, Stephanie Kautz, 39, of Jonesboro, sleeping in a rear bedroom.

During their search they discovered a blue suitcase in the back bedroom.

Inside it was 1,012 grams of marijuana wrapped in saran wrap, a black plastic bag and dryer sheets.

Thomas and Kautz were taken into custody.

They appeared in court on May 14 before Judge Tommy Fowler.

Thomas is facing a felony charge for possession of a scheduled VI with purpose to deliver, while Kautz is being charged with possession of schedule VI with the purpose to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Their bond was set at $20,000 and both will appear in court again on June 28 at the Craighead County Courthouse.
