JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) - With all of the spring rain so far this year, gardens may not seem feasible for some.
However, there are multiple times throughout the year to start planting.
This means you haven’t missed your shot at this year’s garden.
Plants thrive on rain, but starting your garden indoors is possible.
You can start young plants inside and when you’re ready, move them outside.
Orscheln Assistant Manager Shaun Black said anyone can do it.
“It’s really simple,” Black said. “It just takes a little bit of attention a couple of times a day. Then within a couple of months you’ll be eating stuff that you’ve grown instead of going to some store to buy it.”
Here are some plants that aren’t too late to plant:
- Leafy green vegetables
“It’s really easy to take care of them,” Black said. “Then get them outside whenever the temperature and weather permits.”
