Bootleg bust slows flow of alcohol in Jonesboro

JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) - The party’s over for customers of one alleged bootlegger.

On Wednesday, the Jonesboro Police Department’s Street Crimes Unit seized more than 300 cans of beer, four bottles of brandy, and two bottles of gin from a home on the east side of town.

That’s not all they hauled in, according to a social media post. SCU agents also collected 1.8 grams of meth and a glass pipe in the bust.

In a separate arrest in north Jonesboro, SCU also seized 110 grams of meth, three grams of cocaine, 35 alprazolam, and one gram of marijuana.
