Viola baseball making first state finals appearance since 2016

VIOLA, Ark. (KAIT) - I made the trek to Viola Wednesday afternoon. Longhorn baseball is making their first appearance in the 1A title game since 2016.

Clayton Gardner’s crew average 11 runs per game and have notched 13 shutouts in 2019. Viola started the state tournament in style with a 32-1 victory in the opening round last week.

The Horns are getting it done with a 12 man roster.

Viola faces Taylor Saturday at 12:30pm at Baum-Walker Stadium in Fayetteville.
