ArDOT: Crashes on I-555 now clear

JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) - The Arkansas Department of Transportation has reported the accident on I-555 has been cleared.

Two separate crashes happened Friday morning that created a “big mess” on Interstate 555.

The collisions happened at Mile Marker 16.3, near Marked Tree. According to a Region 8 viewer, the crash occurred just north of the floodway.

A representative of ArDOT told Region 8 News the first crash involved a semi-truck and a farm tractor.

A passenger vehicle was involved in the second crash, he said.

Motorists are urged to use caution in this area and expect delays as emergency crews respond and clear the scene.
