SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KAIT) - Kennett rallied twice to punch a ticket to the Class 1 Softball State Championship game. The Lady Indians beat Mount Vernon 5-4 Friday afternoon.
Adelynn Nelson tied it in the 4th with an RBI double. Jaden Yates gave the Lady Indians the lead in the 6th after coming all the way around after an RBI and several Mountaineer miscues.
Kennett will face Lincoln Saturday at 1:00pm in the title game. Kevin McCaig’s crew are a win away from their 3rd state championship in the last 6 years.
