Country music legend Lee Greenwood to perform at UACCB

BATESVILLE, Ark. (KAIT) -A well-renowned country music icon will make a stop in Independence County in September.

According to a release from the University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville (UACCB), Lee Greenwood will kick off the 2019-2020 Performing Arts Series with a concert Sept. 7 at 7 p.m.

Greenwood is well-known for his patriotic hit “God Bless the USA.”

He has over 30 albums to his credit and has won a huge amount of country music awards, including Male Vocalist of the Year for the Academy of Country Music in 1983, along with two Male Vocalist of the Year awards from the Country Music Association in 1983 and 1984.

Tickets for the concert are available online, with prices set for $35, $25, and $15.
