Juveniles arrested after attempted vehicle break-ins

JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) - Three juveniles are in trouble after what appeared to be attempted break-ins on multiple cars.

According to an incident report from Jonesboro police, on Monday, May 20, officers responded to a vehicle breaking or entering in progress.

When officers arrived, the suspects, three males in dark clothing, had left the area on foot and were heading down S. Caraway Rd.

The vehicle they arrived in was left in the parking lot at the Links at Jonesboro apartments.

Upon examining nearby vehicles, an officer found that dew was freshly disturbed on door handles and windows, though the vehicles were locked.

Officers made contact with the vehicle’s owner, who then discovered that her car was missing.

The suspect’s car was later seen going toward Fox Meadow.

A traffic stop found that the two people in the car were the missing juveniles.

Upon arrival back at the victim’s home, a juvenile female was arrested.

Officers cited the three juveniles for curfew violation, with the driver being cited for no drivers license and unauthorized use of a vehicle.
