Mountain Home Twin Lakers vie for spot in The Basketball Tournament

MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. (KAIT) - The Basketball Tournament has quickly become a summertime tradition. Teams from all over the country face off with rosters of pro and former college players. The winning squad gets 2 million dollars to split between the members.

Team Arkansas isn’t the only squad with a Natural State connection trying to play in the 2019 TBT.

The Mountain Home Twin Lakers are the reigning champions of the Battleground Basketball Association. TL is off to a 5-0 start this season. Levi Olsen made the SportsCenter Top 10 with a ridiculous dime in March.

They’re adding former Hog BJ Young along with Forrest City natives Marcus Britt and Trent Steen to name a few. Dylan Connolly is the head coach, and he makes the case for TL in TBT.

Selection to The Basketball Tournament is driven by fan following as much as skill on the hardwood. Twin Lakers supporters can reply to this tweet to make the case why they should be in the field of 64.

The final bracket will be revealed June 11th. If selected, Mountain Home would play in the Memphis Regional.
