Damage reported at Doniphan schools after flash flooding

DONIPHAN, Mo. (KFVS) - Doniphan R-1 schools reported water damage at the high school, elementary and at the school’s central office.

This comes after flash flooding on Wednesday, June 26, according to a post on the school’s Facebook page.

Lots of water fell on Ripely County today. Please use caution near low water bridge crossings. The flash flood warning has been dropped, but creeks and rivers will be on the rise.

A retaining wall at the elementary busted and a tree was lost at Grieb Park. The school thanks staff and volunteers who came to help clean up.
