Victim identified in Lawrence County shooting

LAWRENCE COUNTY, Ark. (KAIT) - Both county and state law enforcement are investigating a shooting early Saturday at Lake Charles State Park that left a person dead, according to Lawrence County Sheriff Jeff Yates.

Yates said authorities got a call around 3:15 a.m. June 29 about the shooting.

On Monday, July 1, Lawrence County Sergeant Jamie White said in a news release that a woman said that an intruder had been shot in her home.

There, investigators with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s office and special agents with Arkansas State Police found Christopher Robinson, 35, of Powhatan dead from a gunshot wound.

The shooting is still under investigation by the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office and the Arkansas State Police, and no arrests have been made.
