MELBOURNE, Ark. (KAIT) - Early Tuesday morning, a popular Izard County restaurant went up in flames.
According to Melbourne Fire Chief Rusty Campbell, around 5:42 a.m. multiple fire crews responded to a fire at Tally Ho on the 3300 block of East Main Street in Melbourne.
Chief Campbell said when they arrived on scene, heavy fire and smoke was coming from the left side of the building.
He said they believe the fire started near the music stage.
Crews with the Zion and Mount Pleasant Fire Department assisted the Melbourne FD.
Chief Campbell said it took about an hour to get the fire under control.
The cause of the fire is uknown at this time and under investigation.
