BLYTHEVILLE, Ark. (KAIT) - Both Blytheville firefighters and police are at the scene of a fire in the 1700 block of West Ash Street, according to Blytheville Police Department dispatch.

Authorities got a call around 11:25 a.m. about the fire, near where the old Save-a-Lot food store is located.

Blytheville Fire Chief Mike Carney said the fire was at a vacant structure and that the fire was heavily involved when firefighters arrived.

No one was injured. However, Carney said paramedics were at the scene and that two firefighters were taken to a local hospital for a possible case of heat exhaustion.
