Red Wolves Raw: Tajhea Chambers & Cody Grace at Arkansas State Media Day

JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) - Fall camp continues at Arkansas State. Blake Anderson’s crew were in shoulder pads for over 2 hours.

With A-State practicing indoors Monday morning, it was another edition of Cody Grace versus the roof. The ceiling of the Student Activity Center has been the victim of more than a few punts from the Australian. The Ray Guy nominee and the Hangtime King will once again be one of the biggest Red Wolf weapons. He averaged 40.6 yards a punt in 2018, part of an A-State unit that set a NCAA record for fewest return yards.

Cody credits his success to the special teams unit and long snapper Seth Cottengim. Both were selected to Phil Steele’s Preseason All-Sun Belt 1st Team.

“We’re best mates, we live together. So I think that works well, it works well on the field. Seth is really good at what he does, in my opinion one of the best in the country at what he does. He doesn’t get a lot of credit for it. I never have to worry about where the ball is going to land, where I have to catch it. We’re a good combo.”

Arkansas State will practice in full pads Tuesday and hold their first scrimmage Saturday at 9:45am.
