TrinityRail Spokesperson: Fire reported overnight, extinguished by Jonesboro Fire Department

No one was injured in late-night fire at Jonesboro factory.

JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) - Jonesboro fire crews responded to a late-night emergency call at TrinityRail in Jonesboro.

According to Jonesboro dispatch, they received a call around 2:15 a.m. about a possible fire at the factory located on C.W. Post Road.

Fire officials believe a dust collector caught fire, and crews knocked the fire out around 3:25 a.m.

No one was injured.

A spokesperson for the company released the following statement to Region 8 News Tuesday morning:

During the morning hours on Tuesday, January 28, a fire occurred at the TrinityRail Jonesboro maintenance facility. Emergency crews were called to the property and the fire was extinguished. No injuries were reported following the incident. TrinityRail is working with the appropriate safety authorities to investigate the cause of the fire. Safety is Trinity’s top priority. We are committed to the health and safety of our employees, subcontractors, customers and community.
