LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KAIT) - Gov. Asa Hutchinson and Dr. Nate Smith, secretary of the Arkansas Department of Health, give an update Wednesday on the state’s response to the coronavirus, including the latest cases of COVID-19 and deaths.

Gov. Asa Hutchinson gave the latest number of COVID-19 cases in the state.

The graphs show an upward trend. Gov. Hutchinson calls it “concerning.”

Gov. Hutchinson has directed the Arkansas Department of Health to increase contact tracers, from 350 to 700.

Over 125,000 have been tested this month.

Dr. Smith also provided more COVID-19 numbers.

Gov. Hutchinson responded to travel restrictions.
