LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KAIT) - Gov. Asa Hutchinson updates the public on the state’s response to the coronavirus, including the latest cases of COVID-19 and deaths.
Governor Hutchinson gave the new COVID-19 numbers Tuesday but was somber as the numbers were high once again, with 20 new deaths being reported, and hospitalizations in the state topped 500.
The governor summed it up by saying, “this is not a good day.”
The counties with the largest increase in the past 24 hours:
1. Pulaski - 55
2.Benton - 50
3. Mississippi - 48
4.Sebastian - 45
5. Washington - 45
6. Pope - 36; Faulkner - 34
Dr. Romero said 33,188 people have recovered, up 823 from Monday. Dr. Romero also confirmed that six of the deaths are “late reporting.”
Dr. Romero said today’s new numbers show, “No clustering that they could find.”
