LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KAIT) - Gov. Asa Hutchinson and Secretary of Health Dr. Jose Romero will update the public at 1:30 p.m. on the state’s response to the coronavirus, including the latest cases of COVID-19 and deaths.

Gov. Hutchinson announces the Arkansas Department of Health has received 12,000 antigen tests.

Gov. Hutchinson announces 139 new “probable” deaths will be added to the total of COVID-19 deaths.

Arkansas has administered 102,808 PCR tests so far this month.

Gov. Hutchinson reports 676 new cases in the state within the last 24 hours.

1,003 have died due to the virus.

Dr. Romero reports additional COVID-19 numbers.

Craighead County was listed in the top counties with 20 new cases.

Gov. Hutchinson was asked if the death rate has been accelerating.

He says he doesn’t think so.
