MAGNOLIA, Ark. (KAIT) - Longtime Southern Arkansas and former Newport coach Bill Keopple announced his retirement as Southern Arkansas head coach effective Monday.

During his 11 seasons Keopple became the all-time winningest coach in school history with 65 victories. He also led the Muleriders to the postseason on four different occasions.

Keopple will be replaced by former Arkansas State assistant Mike McCarty who spent time in Jonesboro from 2004-2007.
