WEINER, Ark. (KAIT) - Two Poinsett County communities are no longer under a boil order after damage to a fire hydrant prompted officials to issue the order over the weekend.
According to a report from the Arkansas Department of Health, the boil order affecting the Weiner and Waldenburg communities has been lifted.
Samples taken on Tuesday, Oct. 27 showed no bacterial contamination and “a satisfactory disinfectant level has been established throughout the distribution system.”
According to Myra Schwarz with the Weiner Water Company, crews spent most of the weekend repairing a damaged fire hydrant after a vehicle hit the hydrant.
