Bond set for woman arrested in connection with Sunday night house fire

JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) - A Missouri woman faces an arson charge after appearing in court Wednesday.

A $150,000 bond was set for Chasity Dillingham, 32, of Owensville, Mo.

Jonesboro police arrested Dillingham, who is suspected of setting fire to a home.

The fire started just after 8 p.m. Nov. 15, in the 400-block of Bridge Street, Jonesboro police said Sunday.

Fire Marshal Jason Wills said the house sustained serious damage, but did not know if it was a total loss.

There were no reports of injuries.

An investigation into the cause of the fire was launched and police later arrested Dillingham on suspicion of arson.

According to the initial incident report, she was accused of burning down the house, which was valued at $75,000.

A $150,000 bond was set Wednesday for Dillingham, who will be arraigned Dec. 22 in circuit court.

During the court appearance Wednesday, the judge also asked for a mental evaluation for Dillingham.
