SAN MARCOS, Tex. (KAIT) - Arkansas State’s losing streak continues.

Calvin Hill had a rushing touchdown in the final minute as Texas State beat the Red Wolves 47-45. The Bobcats entered 1-9 but rallied in the 4th quarter to pull off the upset.

A-State drops to 3-6 overall, 1-5 in Sun Belt play. It’s their first 1-5 conference start since 2009. That’s also the last time the Red Wolves dropped 4 straight league games.

The defense allowed 505 yards on Saturday. Texas State QB Brady McBride led the way with 443 passing yards and 5 touchdowns.

The scarlet and black offense got back on track with 654 total yards. Logan Bonner was 17 of 26 passing for 208 yards and 2 TD. Layne Hatcher was 10 of 22 for 254 and 2 scores, but he lost a fumble in the 2nd quarter. Jamal Jones had a career day on the ground, 16 carries for 106 yards, and 1 TD.

Jeff Foreman entered Saturday with 1 catch on the season. The Oklahoma native had 3 receptions for 148 yards and a score. Jonathan Adams Jr. had a highlight reel TD grab. The JHS alum had 10 receptions for 141 yards & 2 scores.

Arkansas State will end the season with 3 straight home games. They’ll host South Alabama on November 28th, kickoff is at 2:00pm on ESPN3.
