LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KAIT) - No counties in Northeast Arkansas made the top five for new cases Monday as the Arkansas Department of Health released the daily COVID-19 numbers.

Arkansas saw 1,306 new cases of COVID-19 bringing the total number of active cases to 23,057.

The ADH reported 51 new deaths, raising the death toll to 3,800.

The number of hospitalizations jumped by 62 to 1,296; and 18 more people were placed on ventilators, raising the total to 212 statewide.

“Today’s increase in hospitalizations and the 51 new deaths from COVID-19 are vivid reminders of how many families are hurting because of this pandemic,” Gov. Asa Hutchinson said in a statement. “Our health care system is stretched, and the numbers are likely to increase more. Thanks to all who are doing everything they can to be safe.”
