JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) - Butch Jones adds two more Division 1 transfers to his 2021 Arkansas State recruiting class.

Louisville sophomore outside linebacker Thurman Geathers announced Thursday that he committed to the Red Wolves. He entered the transfer portal on November 18th, 2020. The Georgia native played in 17 games over the last 2 seasons. Geathers appeared on defense and in special teams (punt return). He recorded 4 tackles, half a sack, and 2 QB hurries in 2020.

Geathers is the 2nd D1 transfer to commit to the Red Wolves this week. Boise State freshman wide receiver Khyheem Waleed verballed with A-State on Tuesday. He entered the portal on December 22nd, 2020. Waleed played in 8 games across the last 2 seasons on defense. He was a three-star recruit coming out of Casteel HS in Arizona. Waleed had offers from Iowa State, Michigan State, Arizona, Arizona State, Cal, Indiana, Oregon, Oregon State, UCLA, and Vanderbilt to name a few.
