LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KAIT/KARK) - The 93rd General Assembly met for the first time Monday at the state capitol in Little Rock.

The legislature dealt with many topics, including the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Need to be thinking about how we can make life better for the essential workers that make our lives easier I know that that certainly gonna be at the forefront of my mind as we start session,” St. Rep. Nicole Clowney to KARK.

A big debate was the rules of operation under the pandemic, something lawmakers say they will address in more meetings.

Gov. Asa Hutchinson will deliver his State of the State address on Tuesday, Jan. 11, at 10:30 a.m.
