STUTTGART, Ark. (KAIT/KARK) - In a new video message posted Thursday afternoon on Instagram, a woman has said she is not the person in a viral video, saying she is not Cassie Compton, according to content partner KARK.

The FBI is still investigating whether a video that is on social media is that of a girl missing since 2014.

KARK reported earlier Thursday that federal authorities have confirmed they are investigating if the video was of missing Arkansas girl Cassie Compton.

The video, according to KARK, was being shared after first appearing on TikTok. It reportedly shows a woman in the backseat of a car dazing into a camera.

The Little Rock FBI office told KARK that agents are aware of the video but could not comment further.

“The TikTok video has been brought to our attention. The FBI Little Rock is aware of it,” FBI Little Rock spokesperson Connor Hagan told KARK. “We are following up on the video and taking any logical investigative steps but we cannot say anything further at this time.”

The girl disappeared from the Stuttgart area in 2014, when she was 16 years old, KARK reported.
