NE Arkansas school districts reporting COVID-19 cases

JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) - Just days after the start of a new school year, several Northeast Arkansas school districts have begun reporting positive COVID-19 cases among their students and faculty.

As of Thursday, Sept. 9, the following districts are reporting at least 5 active confirmed cases, according to the Arkansas Department of Health, or have otherwise communicated COVID cases on their campuses. These numbers do not include quarantine numbers unless otherwise noted:

Baxter County

  • ASU Mountain Home: As of Sept. 6, ADH reports 5 active cases, 7 cumulative cases
  • Mountain Home School District: As of Sept. 9, ADH reports 13 active cases, 14 cumulative faculty/staff cases, and 75 cumulative student cases.

Clay County

  • Corning School District: As of Sept. 9, ADH reports 10 active cases, 32 cumulative cases
  • Piggott School District: As of Sept. 9, ADH reports 8 active cases, 29 cumulative cases
  • Rector School District: As of Sept. 9, ADH reports 8 active cases, 22 cumulative cases

Cleburne County

  • Greers Ferry Westside School District: As of Sept. 6, ADH reports 9 active cases, 20 cumulative cases
  • Heber Springs School District: As of Sept. 9, ADH reports 32 active cases, 9 cumulative faculty/staff cases and 53 cumulative student cases.
  • Quitman School District: As of Sept. 6, ADH reports 10 active cases, 15 cumulative cases.

Craighead County

  • ASU-Newport Jonesboro: As of Sept. 9, ADH reports 7 active cases, 23 cumulative cases
  • Arkansas State University-Jonesboro: As of Sept. 9, ADH reports 10 active cases, 6 cumulative faculty/staff cases and 30 cumulative student cases.
  • Buffalo Island Central School District: As of Sept. 9, ADH reports 6 active cases, 22 cumulative cases
  • Bay School District: As of Sept. 9, ADH reports 14 active cases, 24 cumulative cases
  • Brookland School District: As of Sept. 9, ADH reports 50 active cases, 5 cumulative faculty/staff cases, and 101 cumulative student cases.
  • Jonesboro School District: As As of Sept. 9, ADH reports 51 active cases, 13 cumulative faculty/staff cases, and 86 cumulative student cases.
  • Nettleton School District: As of Sept. 9, ADH reports 26 active cases, 13 cumulative faculty/staff cases, and 74 cumulative student cases.
  • Riverside School District: As of Sept. 9, ADH reports 6 active cases, 19 cumulative cases
  • Westside School District: As of Sept. 9, ADH reports 28 active cases, 7 cumulative faculty/staff cases and 49 cumulative student cases.
  • Valley View School District: As of Sept. 9, ADH reports 10 active cases, 39 cumulative cases

Crittenden County

  • Marion School District: As of Sept. 9, ADH reports 33 active cases, 21 cumulative faculty/staff cases, and 154 cumulative student cases.
  • West Memphis School District: As of Sept. 6, ADH reports 55 active cases, 15 cumulative faculty/staff cases, and 95 cumulative student cases.

Cross County

  • Cross County School District: As of Sept. 9, ADH reports 11 active cases, 0 cumulative faculty/staff cases, and 25 cumulative student cases.
  • Wynne School District: As of Sept. 9, ADH reports 14 active cases, 15 cumulative faculty/staff cases, and 45 cumulative student cases.

Fulton County

  • Mammoth Spring School District: As of Sept. 9, ADH reports 7 active cases, 0 cumulative faculty/staff cases, and 10 student cases
  • Salem School District: As of Sept. 6, ADH reports 6 active cases, 22 cumulative total
  • Viola School District: As of Sept. 6, ADH reports 7 active cases, 0 cumulative faculty/staff cases, and 9 student cases

Greene County

  • Crowley’s Ridge Academy: As of Sept. 9, ADH reports 5 active cases, 10 cumulative cases
  • Greene County Tech School District: As of Sept. 9, ADH reports 43 active cases, 18 cumulative faculty/staff cases, and 97 cumulative student cases.
  • Marmaduke School District: As of Sept. 9, ADH reports 14 active cases, 6 cumulative faculty/staff cases and 25 cumulative student cases.
  • Paragould School District: As of Sept. 9, ADH reports 42 active cases, 11 cumulative faculty/staff cases, and 112 cumulative student cases.

Independence County

  • Batesville School District: As of Sept. 9, ADH reports 15 active cases, 11 cumulative faculty/staff cases, and 59 cumulative student cases.
  • Lyon College: As of Sept. 6, ADH reports 6 active cases, 26 cumulative cases
  • Midland School District: As of Sept. 9, ADH reports 8 active cases, 22 cumulative cases
  • Southside School District: As of Sept. 9, ADH reports 16 active cases, 32 cumulative cases

Jackson County

  • ASU - Newport: As of Sept. 6, ADH reports 5 active cases, 10 cumulative cases
  • Jackson County School District: As of Sept. 6, ADH reports 7 active cases, 25 cumulative cases
  • Newport School District: As of Sept. 9, ADH reports 30 active cases, 5 cumulative faculty/staff cases, and 50 cumulative student cases.

Lawrence County

  • Hoxie School District: As of Sept. 9, ADH reports 11 active cases, 0 cumulative faculty/staff cases, and 23 cumulative student cases.
  • Lawrence County School District: As of Sept. 9, ADH reports 28 active cases, 13 cumulative faculty/staff cases, and 47 cumulative student cases.

Mississippi County

  • Arkansas Northeastern College: As of Sept. 6, ADH reports 6 active cases, 10 cumulative cases
  • Armorel School District: As of Aug 30, ADH reports 5 active cases, 0 cumulative faculty/staff cases, and 9 cumulative student cases.
  • Blytheville School District: As of Sept. 9, ADH reports 19 active cases, 9 cumulative faculty/staff cases and 35 cumulative student cases.
  • Gosnell School District: As of Sept. 9, ADH reports 14 active cases, 5 cumulative faculty/staff cases, and 21 cumulative student cases.
  • Manila School District: As of Sept. 9, ADH reports 18 active cases, 43 cumulative cases
  • Osceola School District: As of Sept. 9, ADH reports 15 active cases, 24 cumulative cases

  • Harrisburg School District: As of Sept. 9, ADH reports 27 active cases, 12 cumulative faculty/staff cases, and 47 cumulative student cases.
  • Marked Tree School District: As of Sept. 6, ADH reports 5 active cases, 16 cumulative cases
  • Trumann School District: As of Sept. 9, ADH reports 14 active cases, 47 cumulative cases

Randolph County

  • Black River Technical College, Pocahontas: As of Sept. 9, ADH reports 5 active cases, 9 cumulative cases
  • Pocahontas School District: As of Sept. 9, ADH reports 41 active cases, 11 cumulative faculty/staff cases, and 63 cumulative student cases.

St. Francis County

  • Forrest City School District: As of Sept. 9, ADH reports 28 active cases, 62 cumulative cases

Sharp County

  • Cave City School District: As of Sept. 9, ADH reports 10 active cases, 30 cumulative cases
  • Highland School District: As of Sept. 9, ADH reports 28 active cases, 6 cumulative faculty/staff cases, and 46 cumulative student cases.

Stone County

  • Mountain View School District: As of Sept. 9, ADH reports 6 active cases, 39 cumulative cases

White County

  • Beebe School District: As of Aug. 30, ADH reports 18 active cases.
  • Bald Knob School District: As of Sept. 6, ADH reports 5 active cases, 0 cumulative faculty/staff cases, and 22 cumulative student cases.
  • Bradford School District: As of Sept. 9, ADH reports 5 active cases, 13 cumulative cases
  • Harding University in Searcy: As of Sept. 9, ADH reports 46 active cases, 79 cumulative cases
  • Pangburn School District: As of Sept. 9, ADH reports 5 active case, 28 cumulative cases
  • Riverview School District: As of Sept. 9, ADH reports 10 active cases, 7 cumulative faculty/staff cases and 17 cumulative student cases.
  • Rose Bud School District: As of Sept. 6, ADH reports 8 active cases, 24 cumulative cases
  • Searcy School District: As of Sept. 9, ADH reports 18 active cases, 13 cumulative faculty/staff cases, and 117 cumulative student cases.
  • White County Central School District: As of Sept. 9, ADH reports 12 active cases, 8 cumulative faculty/staff cases, and 23 cumulative student cases.

Woodruff County

  • Augusta School District: As of Sept. 9, ADH reports 8 active cases, 22 cumulative cases
  • McCrory School District: As of Sept. 6, ADH reports 5 active cases, 15 cumulative cases
