1 killed, 1 injured in fiery crash

CRAIGHEAD COUNTY, Ark. (KAIT) - A fiery crash Saturday night near Bono injured one person and left another dead.
According to a preliminary fatality report from Arkansas State Police, the crash happened around 8:40 p.m. May 22 on U.S. Highway 63 at Craighead County Road 118.
A minor was southbound when their Chevy Silverado crossed the center turn lane and into the path of a northbound 2015 International tractor-trailer driven by Damon Turner, 44, of Memphis, striking it head-on.
Both vehicles burst into flames immediately upon impact, ASP stated.
The minor’s name was not released due to their age.
Turner was taken to a Jonesboro hospital with unspecified injuries.
Crews spent several hours clearing the highway. According to IDrive Arkansas, all lanes of traffic were reopened by early Sunday morning.
