Fire department honoring chief’s 60 years of service

STEELE, Mo. (KAIT) - For six decades, Fire Chief Eddie Gilbert has served the people of Steele.

Now, the community is celebrating Gilbert’s 60 years of service to the fire department.

According to a news release shared on social media, the celebration will be held on Saturday, Jan. 28, from 1 until 4 p.m. at the fire station, 117 S Walnut St,

The recognition ceremony will begin at 2 p.m.
