News Producer

Jorge is a News Producer for Region 8 News. He got his Multimedia Journalism degree at Arkansas State University. Hailing from Los Angeles he now resides in Paragould. He was an active student in TECH TV at Greene County Tech. Jorge found his calling in the media business his junior year when he began to shoot, write and edit stories regularly. After an internship, he joined KAIT in 2012 as a Production Assistant. Five months later, he began training as an Assistant Producer by editing video on the weekends. He became an Associate Producer shortly after that and learned to produce his own shows. About a year later, Jorge moved up to the News Producer role on the weekends. With his experience in high school, Jorge has paved his way into reporting news on the weekend. In July 2015, Jorge began spending the overnight hours producing Good Morning Region 8. As a bilingual asset, he's been able to report angles on stories that make viewers think. After 4 years, Jorge moved to produce Region 8 News at 6 and 10 Monday through Friday.
