SEMO finalizes basketball schedule

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo - Dickey Nutt's first basketball team at Southeast Missouri State University will face a 30-game regular season schedule and two exhibition games with 16 contests at the Show Me Center.

As previously announced, the Redhawks will return to regional rivalries with home games against Arkansas State and Southern Illinois-Carbondale and road contests at Saint Louis and Memphis. Arkansas State will be the regular season opener at the Show Me Center with a 7 p.m. tipoff on Nov. 18. The Redhawks and Salukis will tangle at the SMC on Wednesday Dec. 9. Southeast will open the season at Saint Louis on Nov. 14 with a game at Memphis on Dec. 22.

Eastern Michigan of the Mid America Conference will visit the Show Me Center on Nov. 24 with games with Williams Baptist on Dec. 12 and SIU-Edwardsville on Feb. 2 rounding out the non-conference home schedule. The exhibition games at the Show Me Center will be Nov. 8 vs. Harris-Stowe and Nov. 10 vs. Ouachita Baptist.

Non-conference road games will include games at Northern Illinois on Nov. 22 and a Bracket Buster game on Feb. 20. The Redhawks will also play in an exempt tournament at Illinois State that will include three games, Nov. 27-29.

The Ohio Valley Conference schedule begins on Dec. 3 at Austin Peay. The first home OVC contest will be on Jan. 2 vs. Tennessee Tech with Jacksonville State to visit the Show Me Center on Jan. 4.

The OVC schedule and regular season will end at the Show Me Center with the Redhawks hosting Tennessee State on Feb. 25 and Austin Peay on Feb. 27.

The challenging schedule will see the Redhawks battle teams from the Atlantic 10 Conference, the Mid-American Conference, Conference USA and Missouri Valley Conference.
