All-Star-themed arches abound in St. Louis

ST. LOUIS (AP) - The Gateway Arch has temporary company.

Major League Baseball Properties has teamed with the Cardinals, the city of St. Louis and the St. Louis Sports Commission to install 15 10-foot-tall All-Star themed arches at landmarks around the city.

The project is dubbed "Arches on Parade," and it's a nod to baseball's All-Star game in St. Louis on July 14. The arches will be sold later to benefit the Sports Commission's Charitable Sports Foundation.

There arches feature 1 of a half-dozen themes, including the National and American leagues, the Cardinals, vintage St. Louis baseball, the Cardinals' world championship and the All-Star game itself.

The arches are at Busch Stadium, Kiener Plaza, City Hall, and in Forest Park at the art museum, history museum and the zoo.
