SHERIDAN, Ark. (AP) - Former Saline County prosecutor Dan Harmon, who has been out of prison for four years, has been arrested for allegedly selling drugs to an undercover officer near a school.
Harmon was arrested Wednesday in Sheridan for allegedly dealing the painkillers hydrocodone and morphine.
Harmon was convicted in July 1997 of racketeering, extortion and drug conspiracy, and sentenced to eight years in prison.
In October 1997, prosecutors brought more drug charges against Harmon and he was sentenced to three years in prison, for a total of more than 11 years.
He was released in 2006 after helping prosecutors in a murder conspiracy case.
Harmon resigned from office in 1996 after being charged with assault.
