Arkansas takes on Mississippi St. in road game

 FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas will hit the road for a 3-game series against Southeastern Conference rival Mississippi State.

Arkansas (23-6, 6-3 Southeastern) is coming off a 32-8 victory over Saint Louis on Wednesday. The 32-run total fell one shy of a school record 33 set back in 1984.

Mississippi State (16-13, 3-6) leads the all-time series against Arkansas 42-29, and won 1 of 3 when the teams met last season.

Friday's game gets under way at 6:30 p.m. in Starkville, Miss.
