Former ASU cornerback Dominique Williams signs with BC Lions

Vancouver (KAIT) - While a few Red Wolves will have a chance to play pro football in America, another former ASU standout will head north of the border.

The BC Lions Football Club signed former ASU defensive back Dominique Williams and will attend 2010 Training Camp slated to begin June 2nd for rookies in Kamloops, BC. Williams will have a former Red Wolves teammate in the same secondary. Darren Toney played for ASU from 2004-2007 and is entering his second season with the Lions. Toney had 52 tackles in the 2009 CFL season.

Williams appeared in 48 games over four seasons at Arkansas State from 2005-2008. The speedy defender was in on 111 career tackles and notched seven interceptions. He was an undrafted free agent signing of the New Orleans Saints and attended the club's mini-camp last spring.

He joins Toronto Argonauts quarterback Cleo Lemon as former ASU players to sign with the CFL in the offseason.
