FAU suspends four players for South Florida game

Boca Raton, FL (SunSentinel.com) - The Owls will be without four players for Saturday's game at South Florida after they were suspended for one game for conduct detrimental to the team.

Senior cornerback Tavious Polo, senior defensive end Daniel Joseph and sophomore defensive backs David Terrell and Demetrius Williamson were all suspended by coach Howard Schnellenberger, who did not discuss the matter with reporters after Wednesday's practice.

A source said the suspensions were related to a party that took place Saturday night in Boca Raton following FAU's loss to North Texas.

Polo and Joseph were listed as hosts for the party on fliers that were handed out during the game at Lockhart Stadium and posted on Facebook.

Polo is a starter, while Joseph was in the rotation at defensive end, and Williamson and Terrell are both reserves.

Keith Reaser is behind Polo on the depth chart and could get the start against the Bulls.
