LITTLE ROCK, Ark. --School districts will have to be satisfied with a traditional look for school buses in light of a new Arkansas attorney general's opinion. Attorney General Mike Beebe's office says state law does not allow commercial advertising for the outside of school buses to be sold.
A state representative had asked if the Pulaski County School District could legally sell space on its buses.
The opinion cites a state law requiring school buses to be a uniform yellow with other specific black markings.
The opinion says the law is so specific that it rules out advertising.
